Some ideas from our customers...
✔ Fill the bottom collar with soil, stack another one on top of it - you'll get a protected environment for your seedlings.
✔ Use the collars to store your compost , firewood and what not! Easily install the collar on a pallet and add layers as needed. You can always take out the top collar while gradually emptying the content in order to easily reach the current upper level of the content. Fold the collars you are not using and store them until you re-stock the pile.
✔ Stack up 3 levels with soil and spare the bending-over part of your garden work.
✔ Since an open collar has the same measures as an American pallet, your raised garden can also be installed on pavement, grass, flat roof or any other place that comes to your mind! In case you choose to install the collars on a pallet, add a plastic tarp or cardboard to the bottom, pinch some holes in it and fill in your best soil.
Sustainability - To keep the timber in good shape for a long time you might consider coating the collars with Linseed oil (a natural waterproofing and protecting solution) or other Eco-friendly finish. Lining the inside (with building paper, for example) is also an option.
Disclaimer - Due to temperature & humidity changes in storage and during transportation, an occasional crack or split might appear. If you cannot use the board, email or call us and we will solve the issue promptly.
Safety - The protruding ends of the hinges can be sharp, so please handle with care, simply use your gardening gloves at all times when setting up your raised beds!
